Goals and Methodology
For adult beginner tennis players, we focus on technique and hitting in a fun and friendly lesson. We understand that learning something new can sometimes be an intimidating experience. BumbleBee Tennis aims to ensure that it’s a fun yet challenging one, with cordial instructors, drills catered specifically to your skill level, and stimulating point play. To accommodate your growth as a tennis player, we offer both beginner and advanced beginner lessons.
For advanced adult tennis players, tennis is taken to another level. Through our intense cardio tennis lessons, which are more fast-paced and much more demanding, you can join fellow tennis aficionados in a fun hour-long workout without as much instruction.
For kids tennis lessons, we understand that they have competing interests in various activities. We also understand the importance of building self-esteem through a positive, exciting, and encouraging learning experience. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff of tennis instructors enables kids of all ages to feel their best while increasing their tennis knowledge, technique, and skill level, in a group that’s right for them.

- PS 40 (Gramercy)- Youth and adult tennis lessons at an outdoor tennis court.
- PS 111 (Midtown West)- Youth and adult tennis lessons at an outdoor paved tennis space.
- Astoria Park- Youth and adult tennis lessons at an outdoor tennis court.
- McCarren Park- Youth and adult tennis lessons at an outdoor tennis court.
Who are our instructors?
All of our tennis instructors are experienced and trained tennis professionals, with excellent personalities to match. Most have played competitively and at the collegiate level, enabling them to bring their training experiences to their lessons.
For youth tennis lessons, we also screen and train instructors to ensure they have the patience and personality to work with children. We make sure they are energetic, encouraging, can relate and connect with the kids, and understand how to explain concepts to them in a kid-friendly way. In addition, instructors go through vigorous training and are continuously educating themselves concerning the latest youth coaching methodologies.
