Fall is nearly upon us yet again! We’re sure most people are looking for a good way to get involved in a healthy sport like tennis. We believe that the best way for this to happen is to find an age or skill appropriate tennis class where you have a fun time, which is exactly what we offer here at BumbleBee Tennis. We are very happy to announce that our Fall Tennis Season registration is now open for students of all ages to enjoy!
Playing tennis gives students the chance to move their body in a way which is vital for health. Learning tennis can help develop healthy exercise habits since this is a kind of sport that can easily be played for life, once you’ve been taught well on how to do so. Along with proper health benefits, tennis can also develop strength and coordination, including spatial perception and estimation which helps even outside the sport.
Tennis is also a very good way to learn character traits like sportsmanship, persistence and teamwork. Learning through BumbleBee Tennis will help students be good players, but also active and sociable people while experiencing joy in the process.
For 2018 we’ll continue our tennis programs at Astoria Park, in Queens, and at Fort Greene Park, in Brooklyn. Our classes and lessons will be offered from April through November and a Parks playing permit is not required to participate in our programs. Just register online and bring your racket!
